| On
a fifty-acre estate on Kootenay Lake’s East Shore,
the Wedgwood Manor has stood since 1910.
Built for the daughter of British china magnate Josiah
Wedgwood, the Manor is an intriguing English Country
House transplanted to a setting of amazing natural beauty,
where white-tailed deer browse in the fields and bald
eagles and osprey soar in the sky. Read
more about Wedgwood Manor's history.
Now beautifully restored and amply decorated with contemporary
art, six enticing guest
rooms (each with private bath) make perfect retreats
from everyday life. Snuggle up with a good book in the
Library.
Sip tea in front of the parlour
fireplace or stroll along the stone paths to secluded
gardens and find your own leafy hidden niche. In the
mornings you'll enjoy a
delicious
breakfast served at your table before the crackling
fireplace in the dining
room.... the perfect start to a day of exploring
the Kootenay Lake Valley, golfing Kokanee Springs, touring
unique local artisans' shops or just plain relaxing.
We'll
do what we can to make your visit exceed your expectations.
