Meet your hosts
Welcome to Wedgwood Manor! We do hope your stay with us will
be a pleasant and memorable experience that will bring you back
again and again.
Let me introduce you to the Wedgwood Manor Team:

From left to right: Jasmine (a 14-year
old Pekinese with a summer cut), Andre with Fritz the cat, Nancy
holding Cristobel, and our newest and largest addition, Mika
(me-kah) our 2 year old mountain guide.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Where did you come from?
Most recently, we had been living in New York
City. Andre (a diplomat) was posted to the Canadian Consulate General,
and Nancy was a fundraiser for The Salvation Army.
How did you find the Wedgwood?
On the Internet. As Andre was due to retire
after 38 years with the Department of Foreign Affairs, we had been looking
to buy a B&B. After two years of Internet searching – voila!
How are you adjusting to the different lifestyle?
Beautifully! We can both chop wood now, do minor plumbing and
electrical repairs, etc., etc. We don’t miss cities at
all.
What kind of dog is Mika?
She’s a Kootenay blend, born in 2004 in Crawford Bay.
We call her “Designer Dog”, as she has so many odd
parts but according to the vet, she’s part Australian
shepperd and wolf hound.
Where did the other animals come from?
Jasmine the Pekinese and Cristobel the brown stripey cat are
both from Russia; Fritz was found in a New York subway station,
and is now the great hunter of mice and voles.
